Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The table detection and spreadsheet assembly run entirely in your browser.
My PDF is a scan — why is the sheet empty?
Scans have no embedded text. Run the file through our OCR tool first, then convert the OCR result here.
How are tables detected?
Each page's text is clustered by vertical position into rows, then by horizontal position into columns. Clean, grid-like tables convert very well; heavily merged cells or decorative layouts may need cleanup in Excel.
Numbers arrive as text — why?
Values that match your chosen number convention (decimal point or comma) are written as real numbers; everything else stays text so nothing is corrupted.
