PDF to Word

Rebuild a PDF as a real, editable Word document — actual tables, headers, footers, images and live page numbers, like a document written in Word.

Your PDF is converted locally on your device — it is never uploaded.

How to convert PDF to Word

  1. Add your PDF. Drop it above or click to browse.
  2. Pick a mode. Editable document rebuilds the PDF as a normal Word document — real tables, headers, footers and flowing text. Page images puts a perfect picture of each page into the document.
  3. Convert & download. A .docx file is assembled on your device and downloads instantly.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Text extraction and DOCX assembly run entirely in your browser.

My PDF is a scan — why is the Word file empty?

Scanned pages contain no text layer, only pictures. Run the file through our OCR tool first to make it searchable, then convert the result here — or use Page images mode to place the page images into Word.

How good is Editable document mode?

It rebuilds the PDF as a normal Word document: ruled tables become real Word tables (with merged cells and shading), repeating page headers and footers become real Word headers and footers, "Page 3 of 40" becomes a live page-number field, and fonts, sizes, colors, bold and italics are kept. Art-heavy pages are placed as exact images, and invisible OCR text layers are left out so scanned pages stay clean. Because the body is rebuilt as flowing text, small position shifts compared to the PDF are normal.

What is Page images mode for?

It renders each PDF page to a high-resolution image inside the DOCX, so the document looks identical to the PDF — useful when appearance matters more than editability, or for scans.
