Split a PDF

Click pages in the visual wizard to pick and reorder them, split with power syntax like 1-3 | 4-, or cut into equal chunks — privately, in your browser.

Your PDF is split locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.

How to split a PDF

  1. Add your PDF. Every page appears as a clickable preview — no need to know page numbers.
  2. Pick pages visually or type a composition. Click pages in the order you want them, or use syntax: 1-3 | 4- splits into two files, #-1 reverses the document, 1,3... takes odd pages, 0 inserts a blank page.
  3. Download. A single PDF downloads directly; multiple files arrive as one tidy ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write page ranges?

Commas and dashes, in the order you want: 1,3-5,12 — and the order is preserved, so 5-1 reverses pages 5 to 1. More: 3- means "to the end", 1,3... all odd pages, 2,4... all even, # the last page, 0 inserts a blank page, and | splits the output into several files (e.g. 1-3 | 4-).

Can I rearrange pages visually instead?

Yes — after adding your PDF, every page shows as a thumbnail. Click pages in the order you want them and the composition field fills itself. Great for reordering scanned documents.

Is my PDF uploaded to split it?

No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser. Your document never leaves your device.

Can I split every page into its own PDF?

Yes — choose “Every page separately” and you'll get a ZIP with one PDF per page, named in order.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied exactly as they are — text stays sharp and selectable, images are untouched.
