Split a file
Too big to email? Cut any file into parts of exactly the size you need — then rejoin them anytime with the Join Files tool.
The file is sliced locally on your device — nothing is uploaded.
How to split a file
- Add your file. Any type — video, archive, backup, anything.
- Choose the part size. e.g. 24 MB for email, or pick the number of parts instead.
- Split & download. Get numbered .part files, one by one or bundled in a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
How do the parts get rejoined?
Open the Join Files tool, drop in all the parts (their names end in .part1, .part2, …) and it reassembles the original file byte-for-byte. The recipient can do this too — just send them the link.
Can I open a single part by itself?
No — each part is a raw slice of the original's data, not a standalone file. The original only works again once all parts are rejoined.
Is there a size limit?
Your device's memory is the practical limit. Files up to a few hundred MB split comfortably; multi-GB files depend on your device.
