Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

The short version

Your files never leave your device. Every tool on anizel.com runs locally in your browser. We do not receive, upload, store, scan or process your files on any server, and we require no account or personal information to use the site. The site is paid for by ordinary display ads served by Google — those ads never see your files either.

Files you process

When you use a tool (for example, merging PDFs or compressing an image), the file is opened by JavaScript running in your browser and processed in your device's memory. The result is generated on your device and downloaded directly from it. At no point is the file, its contents, or its name transmitted over the internet to us or anyone else. The site's Content-Security-Policy makes your browser enforce this.

Information we collect

We do not ask for, or keep, any personal information ourselves. Page views are counted with GoatCounter, an open-source, cookieless counter that records that a page was viewed — not who viewed it: no cookies, no fingerprinting, no personal profiles. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs of page requests — such as IP address, browser type and the page URL — for security and operational purposes, like virtually every website on the internet. These logs never contain your files, because your files are never sent.

Advertising

Anizel shows ads served by Google AdSense; they are what pay for the site, so the tools can stay free with no accounts and no paid tier. Google's ad script loads with each page and may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve, personalize (where permitted) and measure ads. Google and its partners may show you personalized ads based on your interests, or non-personalized ads based only on the page you're viewing.

Ad requests never contain your files. The ad code has no access to anything you drop into a tool — it loads with the page, before you've picked any file, and the site's Content-Security-Policy pins down exactly which hosts the page can talk to.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before any personalized advertising, via Google's certified consent message. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Privacy settings" link that message provides.

Learn more or opt out: how Google uses information from sites that use its services, Google Ads Settings (turn off ad personalization), aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Using an ad blocker also works — every tool on the site keeps functioning.

Cookies & local storage

Anizel itself sets no tracking cookies. A few preferences — your theme choice, recently used tools, saved pipelines — are kept in your browser's local storage, on your device, and are never transmitted anywhere. Google advertising may set cookies as described in the Advertising section above, subject to your consent choices where those apply.

Third-party resources

Fonts, every JavaScript library and the AI models that touch your files are hosted on anizel.com itself — nothing is fetched from third-party CDNs at runtime, so no CDN sees your visits. Two opt-in exceptions stream once and are then cached on your device: non-English OCR language models from the Tesseract project's CDN (tessdata.projectnaptha.com), and the optional higher-accuracy transcription model from the Hugging Face CDN. Both are plain downloads to your device — your files are never in them. The full list of hosts a page may contact is published on how it works and enforced by the browser.

Your rights

Because we hold no account data and no files, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete on request — the data simply isn't here. For data processed by Google in connection with advertising, Google is the controller; see Google's privacy policy and the opt-out links above. We do not sell personal information. If you believe we hold anything about you, contact us and we'll help.

Children

Anizel is a general-audience website and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
